Walmart shoppers can now order groceries, by simply instructing the Google voice assistant. The new feature will give flexibility to the customers to order at home or from their smartphones while on the go. The feature will be available on devices including iPhones and JBL portable speakers.
The alliance between Walmart and Google started in August 2017 however, Walmart had withdrawn from Google’s shopping platform earlier this year.
According to research by consultant Bain & Co, only 4% of the shoppers use voice assistance for grocery shopping, this makes the new feature a little delicate to take off to its full potential.
