Why Are Companies Using IBM’s New Business Transactional Intelligence (BTI) For Supply Chain Disruptions?
IBM launched its Business Transactional Intelligence (BTI) at the Gartner Supply Chain Executive Summit on the 14th of May 2019. The BTI solution is reported to provide meaningful and informative data to companies to help manage their supply chain variations or irregularities. Further, it uses machine learning powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to identify data patterns and raise any deviation from the normal supply chain patterns in advance.
BTI’s successful penetration into major companies like Greenworks, The Master Lock Company, Whirlpool Corporation after being applauded at the IBM’s THINK conference in February 2019. One such example The Master Lock Company expressed how IBM’s supply chain Business network has helped its EDI team by reducing manual work and resulting in faster growth and onboarding for its trading partners.
Connie Rekau, EDI Manager, The Master Lock Company stated “With IBM Business Transaction Intelligence, we can dig deeper into our EDI data to identify patterns that wouldn’t otherwise be obvious. As well as building a scorecard to track our performance against internal service-level level agreements [SLAs] with the business, we have set up reports that highlight trading partners with higher-than-average error rates.”
Dow 30 component International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) provides information technology (IT) products and services worldwide. IBM announced recently two significant quantum processor upgrades for its IBM Q early-access commercial systems.
