IBM Will Have To Wait For EU’s Red Hat Decision
According to reports, International Business Machines Corporation’s (IBM) $34 billion bid for Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, will just have to wait for the EU antitrust regulator’s decision & possibly until June 27. Touted as IBM’s “biggest deal ever,” Red Hat, a software company specializing in Linux operating systems, is thought to help IBM expand its subscription-based software business. The deal received approval by U.S. regulatory authorities earlier this month.
