Did Johnson & Johnson’s Shampoo Fail A Quality Test By The Indian Organization?

A Reuters story reported that a quality test conducted by The Rajasthan Drugs Control Organisation, India on J&J shampoo concluded that formaldehyde, a harmful Ingredient was found in two batches of the shampoo. However, J&J refused to accept the allegation and assured that their products are free from any harmful chemicals and are safe for use.
As reported, the spokesperson for J&J stated “We unequivocally maintain that our products are safe and our assurance process is amongst the most rigorous in the world,” the J&J spokeswoman said, adding that the company has contested the interim test results of the government analysis that were based on “unknown and unspecified methods”.
