Boards of Directors Announced for DowDuPont Spin-off Companies
DowDuPont (DWDP) announced this week the boards of directors for the three future independent companies that will be created next year. DowDuPont is seeking to provide each of the three with a strong governing system that will be able to lead the new companies as they chart their own courses.
DowDuPont is planning to separate into three distinct companies, each with its own area of specialization. The three companies will be: Corteva Agriscience (agriculture), Dow (material science), and DuPont (specialty products). The split is set to take place during 2019 with Dow splintering off in April and the other two separating by June.
The announcement on Thursday revealed that Corteva will be headed by Greg Page (a retired CEO of Cargill), Dow will be lead by Jeff Fetig (DowDuPont’s current executive chairman), and Ed Breen (current CEO of DowDuPont) will lead DuPont.
Ed Breen was confident in the makeup of the new boards. “They bring the optimal mix of experience in capital allocation, global business management, and industry-specific expertise to help prepare the independent companies for sustainable success and drive shareholder value creation.”
