Pilot Flying J Sells Stake to Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway

Knoxville, Tennessee’s Pilot Flying J truck stop owned by Pilot Travel Centers LLC is selling a 38.6% stake to Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway. Pilot Flying J has been run by Jimmy Haslam, the son of Pilot Corp. founder Jim Haslam, since 1996. He will remain in that position for the time being. The Haslem Family has been the majority shareholder in Pilot Flying J and is also the owner of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.

Microsoft (MSFT) Adds Pepsi Flavor to Board & Boosts Dividend!

Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqGS: MSFT) added Hugh Johnston, former vice chairman and chief financial officer of PepsiCo, Inc (PEP) to its board of directors.

Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqGS: MSFT)  also raised its quarterly dividend by 7.6%  YOY or $.42/share today and is payable to shareholders December 14, 2017 to shareholders of record of November 16, 2017. The ex-dividend is November 15, 2017.
