McDonald’s (NYSE: MCD) Terminates Agreement With India Franchisee
it was recently reported that an Indian unit of McDonald’s has terminated an agreement with Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt. (“CPR”). CPR is a joint venture that operates the McDonald’s 169 outlets in northern and eastern parts of the country. The statement reported that the agreement was ended after it found that CPR had breached terms relating to some restaurants. In a separate statement, CPR was reported to have said it’s considering “appropriate legal remedies” in response.
